This report describes the Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) support, assessment and verification process for 2009/10 and provides an overview of the quality of patient care provided by General Practices as evidenced by their overall achievement and their achievement in each QOF domain (Clinical, Organisational, Patient Experience and Additional Services).
Clinical Audit Annual Report 2009/2010
Clinical audit essentially involves the selection and systematic evaluation of service delivery against explicit criteria of aspects of the structures, processes and outcomes of clinical care. The outcomes of the audit can then be used to inform the implementation of change where indicated (at individual, team, service or organizational level) and furthered structured monitoring can be used to confirm improvement in health care delivery.
