NHS Oldham's Annual Health Check results for 2008 – 2009 from the Care Quality Commission

NHS Oldham maintained its place in the ranks of the best performing primary care trusts (PCTs) in 2008 - 2009 according to the independent health and social care regulator for England, the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

The CQC awarded a "good" rating for quality of commissioning and a "good" rating for quality of financial management.

It is among the top seven performing PCTs in the North West.

Oldham Community Health Services (part of NHS Oldham) received a separate assessment from the CQC this year as a provider of NHS services and "almost met" the standards required by the Government. Over 90 per cent of all PCT provider services organisations met or almost met these standards.
