Engaging with our communities

All the services provided by NHS Oldham are done so on behalf of our patients and communities.

Quite simply, we are responsible for investing in the health and well-being of our local communities and we can only do this by finding out from you what is needed.

We are continually looking at ways to open up and talk with you, the community, to find out what your concerns are, what your needs and priorities are, and what you want from us.

That way, we can ensure that we provide services that reflect those needs and priorities, resulting in improved health care for all.

There are a number of ways that we try to undertake continuous and meaningful engagement with all members of the local community, including:

  • Formal consultations
  • Surveys
  • Focus groups
  • Patient groups
  • Working closely with the voluntary, community and faith sector, informed by the Oldham Compact.

You can find out about our previous consultations in the following documents:

Report on Consultation 2010-11
