From 1st April 2013, Oldham Primary Care Trust (PCT) also known NHS Oldham, will cease to exist and its responsibilities will be devolved to a range of other new organisations: NHS Oldham Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) will take over the main responsibility for managing the local health budget in Oldham. The CCG will be led by local GPs and other clinicians who will decide how to spend the local NHS budget for the benefit of local patients.
