Summary Care Records: wave 1

The NHS is introducing a new and improved way of storing and managing important medical information electronically, called Summary Care Records. NHS Oldham is taking part in this scheme meaning that key information from a patient’s GP record is starting to become available electronically to staff treating them out of hours or in an emergency.

At first, Summary Care Records will contain important information about your health, such as details of allergies, current prescriptions and whether you have had any bad reactions to medicines.
